The aim of this course is to prepare you to share Restorative Yoga and integrate restorative poses into your classes and with individuals.
The course takes place over 2 weekends ONLINE and will be made up of 22 contact hours and 8 hours of home case study and homework.
Restorative Yoga is a wonderful way to address and help balance many issues, including physical, mental and emotional. It can be a valuable tool to help those experiencing stress from our often hectic lifestyle. It can be used to assist those working with injuries, conditions such as high blood pressure, adrenal and chronic fatigue and is also particularly useful for women’s health. Restorative yoga uses supported postures that facilitate the passive release of tension stored in the body, it activates the parasympathetic nervous system, and allows for deep, nourishing rest.
This course is open to yoga teachers who wish to gift their students with helping them find rest. There will practical sessions for you to enjoy as well as learn from. There will also be theoretical sessions on the teaching methodology and the anatomical aspects of Restorative Yoga. You will learn how to correctly use props, set up postures and guide students into a deeper rest practice.
On successful completion of course, you will receive a certificate indicating you have completed 30 hours of CPD training with Brenda Rock and the Ananda Centre.
The course is in the process of being registered with Yoga Alliance Professionals.
Students are required to bring 1 bolster, 5 blankets, 2 blocks, an eye pillow and a strap.
